Troy joined Cushman & Wakefield South Florida Multifamily Capital Investments team as Senior Managing Director in 2016. Along with his team he focuses exclusively on representing institutional and private owners in the sale of multifamily properties, developable land and structured equity finance in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Naples and throughout the state of Florida. He brings nearly two decades of multifamily development, operations, and brokerage experience to the team.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Ballard served as Senior Managing Director in ARA Newmark’s Boca Raton office, where he founded the firm’s South Florida Land Division. At ARA Newmark, Ballard was lead broker on land transactions representing nearly 4,000 units with an expected development value of over $1 billion. Previously, Ballard was a founding partner and President of TM Real Estate Group. Under Ballard’s guidance, TM Real Estate Group participated in the operations, management, acquisition or disposition of nearly 10,000 residential units and numerous land projects ranging from core infill to mixed-use and suburban sites.
Ballard also served as Senior Project Director at The Related Group of Florida, where he helped develop numerous residential and mix-use projects, including the award-winning CityPlace in West Palm Beach.
