Transacting over $16 Billion in his career, Mike has been a top producing broker on the San Francisco Peninsula and the Bay Area for decades. He is known for championing some of the region's highest profile deals, while his legacy also includes providing the same deep focus and attention to detail on smaller transactions (as testified by his clients).
In 2018, Mike celebrated one of the most prolific years in his career (and presumably across the region for the year), negotiating well over $1 billion in lease transactions composed of over 50 transactions and more than 1.3 million square feet of real estate. (With sales, Mike’s 2018 consideration reached approximately $1.25 billion). To his credit in 2018, Mike was involved in brokering two of the largest office and R&D leases on the Peninsula as well as Bay Area—both involving unique and highly complex negotiations.
In his largest transaction of 2018, Mike, along with his business partner Clarke Funkhouser, represented Landlord Kylli, a foreign developer, in fully leasing Burlingame Point, a brand new 803,000 square foot Class A office campus currently under construction, to social and tech giant Facebook. Mike and his team were also involved in several other very notable lease as well as sale transactions during the year, including deals of over 150,000 SF and multiple deals over 50,000 SF—many valued at or well over $25 million.
