Cynthia Garo has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience specializing in property management, asset management, leasing, acquisition and disposition. Her extensive background within the real estate realm has proven to complement her skillset, having worked for a development company and an interior design firm as a project manager. The intricate concept knowledge of understanding the mechanism of building a structure lends her a competitive edge to work more effectively in addressing situations pertaining to operational and property improvement matters. Ms. Garo’s career began in the early 1990’s working with Chaney Brooks & Company at the Pacific Guardian Center assisting the General Manager overseeing three award winning properties consisting of over 629,000 square feet. Thereafter, she joined The Shidler Group to manage The Pacific Business News Building, Eaton Square Shopping Plaza and The Dillingham Building, consisting of a portfolio of office, retail and restaurant space. Later she returned to Chaney Brooks (now Cushman & Wakefield ChaneyBrooks). Presently, she is managing a prominent complex at the gateway of Waikiki, the Bank of Hawaii Waikiki Center, along with other notable properties located on the Leeward side of Oahu, such as the Mililani Technology Park consisting of 1,088,425 acres mixed use commercial industrial. Her vast knowledge has translated into increased property values, increased annual cash flows at each property, expanded services, improved tenant relations as well as vendor moral. She has immense skill creating confidence in the property’s goal and vision. She excels at negotiating favorable vendor contracts and building relationships with owners, staff members, vendors, tenants and clientele.
