Raleigh-Durham's Q3 2021 Life Science 5 Fast Facts

While the Research Triangle Park remains epicenter of the life science hub in the Raleigh-Durham market, life science companies have been expanding into other submarkets in 2021. Demand across the entire market has never been stronger.

In addition to the RTP/I-40 corridor, life science giants have taken over space in Downtown Durham and North Hills. Not only are life science companies dominating the market, firms servicing those businesses are also expanding. In Q3 2021 the largest direct lease was signed by Life Science Logistics, a company that specializes in cold storage and logistics for the health care sector and works exclusively with life science firms. The growth seen in this sector is expected to continue through the final months of 2021.
