Profile

Brian Meehan is the Project Manager for Cushman & Wakefield of Colorado. He brings with him over thirty-five years of project management and building operations experience.

At Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Meehan is responsible for providing construction management services on behalf of tenants and landlords. During his career, Mr. Meehan has been responsible for over 2,500,000 square feet of tenant finish projects as well as numerous mechanical renovations, asbestos abatement projects, plaza renovations and exterior facade work. Recently completed or current tenant finish projects include Colorado Department of Labor (172,000 rsf.); Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration (63,000 rsf.); Commercial Federal (15,300 rsf.); Cushman & Wakefield (14,000 rsf.); Tipperary Corporation (11,000 rsf.); Precision Air Cargo (9,500 rsf.); Denver Options (6,500 rsf.); Gonzales Consulting (6,200 rsf.); McCann Erickson (18,000 rsf.); Home Buyers Warranty (73,700 rsf.) Collect America (55,000 rsf.); General Services Administration / IRS (157,000 rsf); TransFirst (92,000 rsf.); Catholic Health Initiatives (98,000 rsf.); Catholic Health Initiatives (62,000 rsf.); National Jewish Health (31,000 rsf.); TIC (54,000 rsf.); Hope Online (19,000 rsf.).

From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Meehan was the City Chief Engineer and a Property Manager with Premisys Real Estate Services in Colorado. As the City Chief Engineer, he provided technical support for engineering teams at six buildings and was involved in construction management, overseeing building management transitions, and implementing environmental and safety compliance programs. As Property Manager, his responsibilities included setting up budgets, preparing monthly reports for asset managers, vendor contracting, resolving tenant and building issues, and assisting in tenant lease renewals and tenant improvement work.

From 1984 to 1992, Mr. Meehan worked for LaSalle Partners as a Building Engineer and Chief Engineer. As a Building Engineer, his responsibilities included operating building systems, maintenance, and tenant service calls. As Chief Engineer, he was involved with budgeting, monthly reporting, setting up preventative maintenance programs, asbestos abatement management, capital and redevelopment projects, setting up emergency procedures for tenants and employees as well as day-to-day operations.

From 1982 to 1983, Mr. Meehan earned his American Society of Mechanical Engineers National Board Certification and went to work for Continental Insurance Company as a Boiler Inspector and Industrial Safety Engineer, covering a three state region. His responsibilities included pressure vessel design review, weld quality evaluations, and assessment of boiler plants and systems operation.

From 1975 to 1981, Mr. Meehan worked as an Industrial Boiler Operator. He earned his Stationary Boiler Operating License after serving a four-year apprenticeship. Responsibilities included operation of high-pressure steam boilers, steam turbine driven pumps and chillers.

Mr. Meehan is a certified project manager and hold the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation through the Project Management Institute, has a Real Estate Broker’s License, a certificate in Construction Management from Colorado State University, an American Society of Mechanical Engineers Section I certification, Stationary Engineer certification, and a Business Administration Degree from Regis University.
